Annual Birthday party, changes to meeting format and more

Here’s a few things regarding ImageMakers.
June 10 is the annual birthday party for our fearless leaders: Dick and Jack. As usual, it’s at Point Lobos. 9AM. And, as usual, it’s a pot-luck. We hope you can attend!
We’ve decided to try something new for the Xmas party this year. (I always wanted an excuse to bring up Christmas in May, officially making this notice ahead of the sales-pitches on QVC…)
Instead of the pot-luck at the church, we’re going with a catered dinner in the clubhouse at the Bayonet/BlackHorse golf courses. No one has to bring anything, and (if recent experience is any indication) a very tasty dinner will be served. Probably a 2 or 3-choice buffet.
Stress free for everyone, including our long-suffering Jack & Chris (thanks, guys! 🙂
While the details are still being worked out, the price is likely to be $29 per person, although if we have enough reserves at the end of the year, the ImageMakers will cover 1/3 of that price, taking it to about $20. Twenty buck is more than reasonable for an evening at a restaurant, and so we hope you will all make it a point to attend.
Don’t need to know anything about that just yet, but in a few months, we’ll be reminding and/or asking if you’re coming.
Finally there’s this change in policy regarding the monthly showings:
Since the 10-minute rule seems to be working out, and people are making an effort to stay within that limitation, there is no need for the 4-images restriction any longer.
Your 10-minutes of fame are yours to spend as you wish. Give a speech; ask questions; show a bunch of images; have people come up or not… the floor is yours.
Please DO keep it to 10 minutes however, else necessity will dictate a return to a more structured, um… structure. 🙂

Dues vs membership

On Dues

The rules of membership are that the annual fee is due on or before January 1 of each year. There is a 30-day grace period, and beginning on the first of each following month, a $5 penalty is assessed.

On June 1 of the year, if dues are not received, we assume that you no longer wish to be a member, and you will be removed from the membership roster.

If you want to continue as a member of ImageMakers, please make sure you pay your dues on time.
